Texture is a combination of the marks you make and the
spaces between them.to create texture in your drawings you need to practice different
textures I have included three or four different textures for you
The most versatile texture of them all is a squiggle pattern
the first example I have shown you.
With the squiggle you can reproduce most textures spend time
looking at different textures fabric stone water steel what makes each texture
different steel for example will have lots of highlights if it is stainless
steel rusted still will have blotches pig iron will be flat with very little
texture.
There is so much texture all around us have fun trying to
recreate it my advice to you is look very carefully at the texture shape light
and form will play an important role here
i have included a Van Goch drawing he uses simple line but lots of texture in the chair floor fabic etc.
